ZORRO The Musical:
Remember when the Gypsy Kings burst into the music scene with their red hot flamenco and salsa hits? Things can only get better if you add a swashbuckling story line with masked hero in black hat and cape, whisking you away from danger as the clock strikes midnight. Yes, we’re talking about that great fictional hero Zorro!
Zorro The Musical was first performed in 2008, and it promises to deliver everything you ever wanted in an exciting adventure. Our cast meet the challenge not only of Spanish songs and flamenco dance but sword-fighting, rope-swinging and magic, set against a backdrop of the Gypsy Kings’ finest rhumba-rhythmed classics. The evening promises a chilli-hot performance, with more than a hint of things Spanish and rousing, finger-clicking tavern choruses – notably ‘Bamboleo’!
This is a family show for all ages – full of vibrancy and passion, romance and humour. Put it in the mix with twirling costumes, stamping feet and the slapping of Spanish guitars and there’s only one thing left to say – Ole!! …
