Paul Coldwell is Professor in Fine Art at the University of the Arts London. He is a printmaker and sculptor and has written widely on printmaking including the book, Printmaking: A Contemporary Perspective published by Black Dog Publishers in 2010. 

Printmaking has always been an essential aspect of my practice, alongside sculpture and drawing. My prints are fully resolved within the language of printmaking and strive for a union of idea, process and medium. Furthermore, as a medium, printmaking encourages me to be economical, since for me, the best prints are those in which the image has been paired down to a clear graphic statement.
