Detailed Description
A diving expedition to the great fringing reef of the Red Sea. A life-changing opportunity to work with internationally important waters. Learn how to study some remarkable marine flora and fauna of the international biodiversity hotspot.
The total cost of the expedition for this year will be £2450. This includes cost of your visa, food, all transport from UWE, travel insurance, accommodation, hire of dive equipment, tank air and dive master fees. Additional cost includes your personal wet suit, mask, snorkel & fins, personal first aid kit, personal camping equipment (e.g. sleeping bag, head torch) and the cost of any inoculations.
- A refundable deposit of £850 should be paid by 9 am Monday 10th November 2026.
- This will be followed by an interim payment of £800 due in February 2027 and
- remaining balance of £800 will need to be paid in March 2027 BEFORE we leave.
SSI Open Water dive qualifications, or their equivalent, are required for all students. Additional costs of dive training, if required, is provided at a discounted cost of £550 and will be paid separately through the online store.
