Detailed Description
An expedition to the mountains and lakes of Greek Macedonia. A life-changing opportunity to work in remote habitats with internationally recognised experts from Greek NGOs. Help them with their research and learn the techniques used to study the remarkable plants and animals of this area. The mountains of Macedonia are a centre of species endemism as well as large carnivore recovery.
The total cost of the expedition for this year will be £1300. This includes cost of your visa, food, all transport from UWE and accommodation. Additional costs include personal first aid kit, personal camping equipment (e.g., sleeping bag, head torch) and the cost of any inoculations.
- A non-refundable deposit of £500 should be paid by 9 am Monday 24th November 2025.
- This will be followed by an interim payment of £400 due in early February 2026 and
- remaining balance of £400 to be paid in March 2026 BEFORE we leave.
