Student life are going to the woods. Join us to see the bears, and maybe even the gorillas!
Detailed Description
Enjoy an outdoors trip and discover the wildlife at this incredible space.
See the Eurasian brown bears alongside wolves in Bear Wood, go wild and explore 50 acres of beautiful nature, from woodlands and gardens to the tranquil Tower Meadow - perfect for summer picnics. There are giraffes, lemurs, meerkats, river hogs, deer, wolves, bears, zebras, cheetahs and birds.
The gorillas have now been moved from their old Bristol Zoo location to their new home in the African Forest habitat at Wild Place. They will be settling in to their new environment and their new location will be open to visitors in the spring.
This event is for our current students only.
The Student Life Team will leave the Frenchay Campus at 11.30 - please meet them at the bus stops by 11.15. Alternatively you can meet the team at the venue at 12.15 (Address: Zoo Project, Blackhorse Hill, Bristol BS10 7TP).
There are food outlets at the location, but you may want to bring snacks or lunch to eat.
