Course Description

This four-day, hands-on Rhino course takes you from beginner to confident
user, equipping you with the skills and techniques to create real, 3D-printable
models. You’ll start with the essentials, such as interface, navigation,
viewports, curves, and surfaces, before moving on to more advanced
modelling strategies and surface-generation techniques that make complex
forms achievable.
Each day combines demonstrations with practical exercises, where you’ll apply
your new skills to design solid, 3D-printable chess pieces. By the end of the
course, you’ll have a complete set and, more importantly, a strong foundation
in Rhino and a toolkit of tips, tricks, and workflows to create your own 3D
models for making.
This course is aimed for businesses, students and individuals who want to
learn Rhino and surface modelling for making. Basic experience with 3D or 2D
CAD is preferred but not required.

This will be a physical course, delivered in person at W Block on Frenchay Campus, University of the West of England.

The course is limited to a maximum of 12 participants, please sign up early to secure your place.
